As a young child, Erko left his war-torn homeland behind to find sanctuary in the Belgian city of Antwerp. Sports was allways a habit for Erko, from young age he started At the age of sixteen, he started lifting weights to combat a leg injury and became addicted to working out. Encouraged by the owner and trainer Bill Richardson at his gym, Erko decided to enter his first bodybuilding competition. On his debut appearance, Erko won the first of his three Belgian junior titles. In his second career as a male model, Erko has worked with renowned photographers such as Dirk Alexander and Kevin De Borger.
